Do a good deed at least once a week for someone not related to you.

Attend a church, temple, or synagogue weekly.

Work on something that inspires you which is outside of your vocation.

Repeat this mantra daily to yourself and to your children: I’m healthy and I’m strong. I’m the head and not the tail. I am prosperous. I have favor. No blaming, justifying, or complaining, 2019 (or current year) is the best year yet! October (or current month) is an awesome month. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of self discipline. Actions equal results. Thoughts equal destiny. Add more to this mantra to personalize it to your specific situation.

Be curious. Be present. There is a lot of wonderment everywhere. Live as if you only have 1 year left to live.

Do what you love. If you don’t love what you do, then learn to love what you do, or change what you do to something that you love. You’ll be happier when you do what you love. Others will also benefit from your love for what you do.

Spiritual health can supersede physical and psychological health. Studies have shown that people after experiencing spiritual awakening can have profound positive effects on their physical and psychological health. Spiritual awakening can occur after near-death experiences, after religious rituals, after powerful human interactions, after MDMA assisted psychotherapy. Spiritual awakening causes people to accept and love themselves and others without condition.

One can experience spiritual awakening through the study of the writings of spiritually awakened authors or ancient spiritual texts.

Observing one’s breath is an easy spiritual practice that can be done anytime, anywhere. With every inspiration and expiration, one can be present and be fully contented. Whatever that’s distressing you can be expelled through expiration. Whatever that’s lacking can be invited in through inspiration. Keep the breath slow and deep so one can enjoy it slowly and deeply. It’s a form of meditation that can be done with added intentions.

Journaling is a powerful tool to center oneself. Use a pen and a high quality notebook or diary book to write down your thoughts and reflections. Allow yourself a quiet space with unhurried duration when you write. Write slowly. Ponder on what you want to write before putting it on paper. Write as if you are the author of your life, because you are. It will help you to pay attention to your relationship with yourself and with others. It organizes chaos into a space of tranquility. It promotes healing and forgiveness.
