Meditate daily to decrease stress, depression, anxiety, and worry. It increases tranquility, confidence, and patience. There are many different ways to meditate. To meditate, you can focus on your breathing, on one body part, on a mantra, on a point in your head, on a scenery, on an intention, on a diety, etc. If your mind wanders, then acknowledge it and then bring your thoughts back to the element of focus. You may need to bring the focus back every couple of seconds if you’re not used to meditating.

There is another way to meditate that doesn’t require you to focus. It asks you to be present with your surroundings and be at ease with your present self. You don’t need to focus on anything, but simply be present. Monitor your breathing, the temperature of your surroundings, the sounds around you, the pressure of the seat on your body, etc. And if your thoughts go somewhere else, acknowledge it and bring your thoughts back to the present. If your thoughts obsess on something, acknowledge it and bring your thoughts back to the present. When you do this, your breathing and heart rate will go down and your anxiety and stress will go down as well. If you lie down, you may fall asleep. This is an easy way to meditate when the other meditation methods have not worked well for you.
